For the first time, the University of Luxembourg will participate in the International Comic Festival on 20-21 July 2019\u00a0in Contern. On this occasion, doctoral candidates from the Doctoral School in Science and Engineering (DSSE) will present the seven science comics they have created. Do not miss this opportunity!\u00a0<\/p>

In the last couple of months, 22 doctoral candidates from\u00a0the Doctoral School in Science and Engineering (DSSE) developed the\u00a0comics within the framework of an outreach activity\u00a0by the Doctoral Education in Science Communication project (DESCOM). Together with many more people involved, the comics have been produced to inspire high-school students for science.<\/p>

To raise awareness about science in Luxembourg among the general public, the comics will be distributed during the\u00a026th International Festival of Comic Books<\/a>\u00a0in Contern. Come and see them at the tent for comic dealers.<\/p>

DESCOM aims to support interactions between academia and the public by providing different modes of training in science communication for doctoral candidates.
