This course provides a comprehensive description of the legal framework<\/strong>, still under construction, designed to regulate digital technologies<\/strong>. It addresses the regulation of digital objects themselves (software and database law, software licenses), as well as rights meant to protect individuals and groups of people from the abuse of digital technologies (personal data law, reduction of information asymmetry).<\/p>

This issues are discussed in the broader context of the on-going digital revolution and of the economy of immaterial goods.<\/p>

Biography<\/strong><\/p>

Prof. Fran\u00e7ois Pellegrini is an international expert on data protection and on strategic & sustainable development issues of digital technologies. He teaches informatics and law, and is a former vice-president for digital issues, at \u201cUniversit\u00e9 de Bordeaux\u201d.<\/p>

Fran\u00e7ois Pellegrini is also a commissioner at the French data protection authority (CNIL). Since 2012, he is the president of P\u00f4le Aquinetic, a nonprofit cluster that promotes job creation and economic growth in r\u00e9gion Nouvelle-Aquitaine through free\/libre technologies.<\/p>
