The University of Luxembourg’s Multidisciplinary Area of Research on Sustainability (MARS), together with the EIB Institute, is hosting its first webinar on Monday, 10 February 2020, at 11.00.<\/p>

Looking to raise impact investment and not sure where to start? The EIB Institute and MARS of the University of Luxembourg will be joined by Laura Catana from the Financing Agency for Social Entrepreneurship (FASE) to dive deep into the investment process, discuss how to get investable and attract the right investors. Laura will share best practices from more than 45 successfully closed investment rounds and you will learn from the experience of social entrepreneurs who have gone through the investment journey.<\/p>

About FASE<\/strong><\/p>

FASE – the Financing Agency for Social Entrepreneurship is a spin-off of Ashoka Germany that supports outstanding social entrepreneurs to find capital for their mission. FASE provides hands-on support in the preparation for the investment round (financial modelling, structuring hybrid instruments), transaction management, negotiations and closure. Moreover, it offers access to nearly 1000 investors across Europe. Since 2014, FASE supported 45 social entrepreneurs to raise over 23 million EUR in hybrid and tailored capital from private investors, family offices, foundations, social venture funds and banks.<\/p>

About Laura Catana<\/strong><\/p>

Laura Catana joined FASE in June 2019 as a European Investor Relations Manager based in Luxembourg. Previously, Laura spent five years with Ashoka, where she launched the office in Romania, coordinated global training initiatives for Ashoka\u2019s due diligence process and led a pan-European program aiming to scale social innovations. She also served as a member of GECES, the European Commission\u2019s expert group on Social Entrepreneurship. In addition, she brings her experience as policy officer at the Commission, where she contributed to the set up of the first EU fund supporting social enterprises<\/p><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
