{"id":2136,"date":"2023-02-17T15:28:37","date_gmt":"2023-02-17T14:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-fr\/events\/desw-lectures-imagining-inclusion-lacanian-subjectivation-and-inclusive-practice\/"},"modified":"2023-02-17T15:28:37","modified_gmt":"2023-02-17T14:28:37","slug":"desw-lectures-imagining-inclusion-lacanian-subjectivation-and-inclusive-practice","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-fr\/events\/desw-lectures-imagining-inclusion-lacanian-subjectivation-and-inclusive-practice\/","title":{"rendered":"DESW Lectures: Imagining Inclusion &#8211; Lacanian Subjectivation and Inclusive Practice"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\"><p><strong>Lecture in the framework of the DESW Lecture Series<\/strong><\/p><p>As it is considered common sense in psychoanalysis, Lacanian theories of subjectivation accentuate the unpleasant aspect of being trapped in a subjective form and its repetitions rather than focusing on the \u2018positive\u2019 and light-hearted songs of freedom of what is deemed to be only a historically contingent social construction.<\/p><p>This \u2018pessimistic\u2019 accent shifts the focus to mechanisms of internalisation of oppression; it refers to dynamics in which the imagination that one is \u2018subversive\u2019, \u2018resistant\u2019 or has created or experienced a discrimination-free space of \u2018inclusion\u2019, keeps disintegrating.<\/p><p>In the terms of Lacanian psychoanalysis, the lecture will unfold why every imagination of inclusion contains a momentum of misrecognition. Every image (of\u00a0 inclusion) will miss a point, it will fall short of something.
