Participants examined the&nbsp;margin of manoeuvre&nbsp;available&nbsp;to National Competent Authorities with regard to&nbsp;the&nbsp;supervision of Less Significant Institutions&nbsp;and the extent to which the ECB\u2019s supervision of large banks is directed by&nbsp;divergent national rules. The workshop, at which twenty academic papers were presented and discussed, was the main activity linked to the&nbsp;BEEBS project. The workshop was funded in part by the University&#8217;s&nbsp;Robert Schuman Initiative&#8217;s Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence.&nbsp;Laura Pierret, the&nbsp;doctoral student funded through the BEEBS project helped to organise the workshop.
