As digital natives, their knowledge and experience, but also their expectations and aspirations are an important foundation for (music) technology integration and related research. Therefore, participation in the sessions is open to student participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who?<\/strong> MuTechLab brings music educational researchers, formal music teachers, and music students together, in a series of 6 hands-on sessions with interactive music technologies including a concert. Moreover, it welcomes music technology enthusiasts (performance, teaching) from general education and the non-formal sector. For this first edition, only advanced students (min. division moyenne sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e) will be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What?<\/strong> Participants will engage in joint music making, using both traditional instruments (e.g., violin, clarinet, piano, \u2026) and novel interactive technologies, as the experiential basis for the systematic \u2013 and science-based \u2013 reflection on the potential of such technologies to enrich and enhance effective and creative music teaching and learning. Participants will also prepare a performance that will be organised by the University of Luxembourg, in collaboration with RockLab and the three conservatoires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How?<\/strong> The modus operandus of MuTechLab and its connection to instigating contact with science and research is the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Engaging in hands-on session is complemented with sharing scientific knowledge, information on the technologies (incl. \u201chow to\u201d sheets) and joint discussion on the lived experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"structure-of-each-session\"\n    >\nStructure of each session<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Workshop (1 hour)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Hands-on exploration in small groups (1 hour)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Discussion (30 min), facilitated by Prof. Dr Luc Nijs and Drs.
