As a research infrastructure, it is supported by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as the Institute for Social Research and Interventions (ISI). Founded in 2024, it hosts research concerned with understanding affective, symbolic, and evaluative meanings of action and explaining how they arise within and shape institutional and technological structures. The lab serves as a hub for qualitative, visual, digital and participatory methodologies as well as theoretical frameworks supporting the study of open, democratic and inclusive societies. Hosting data sessions, research workshops, and group-based research, SocioLab fosters collaborative research arrangements and individual scholarly development within the University of Luxembourg and the broader academic world. It is open for general participation in the biweekly meetings of the standing \u201cInterpretive Research Workshop\u201d.
