In the psychophysics lab we test such predictions as made by the computational cognitive science and modeling group based on deep learning and computer vision models. We employ well calibrated displays to provide highly controlled visual input to the human observers we test. <br><br>The information what can be perceived by human observers under these well controlled conditions forms essential tests whether modern deep neural network models are indeed similar to humans or not. Additionally, we need to know what humans can see to design cameras, displays, image and video processing algorithms for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"equipment\"\n    >\nEquipment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The core of our lab is a measurement spot with black walls, in which we place our calibrated displays. We own a VPIXX LCD screen, a HDR10 projector, Luminance meter, spectrometer and Colorimeter.
