Launched during Brain Awareness Week 2026, GetBrainHealthy will make brain health accessible through simple, scientific and practical advice for a wide audience, with public activities, workshops, and Luxembourgish ambassadors.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brain health is not just an \u201cold people’s issue\u201d, yet most of us only think about our brains only when something goes wrong. Think of it as never servicing your car and then being surprised when it breaks down on the highway. Many people are unaware that everyday actions (sleep, sports, social activities\u2026) directly influence how well the brain functions over time. Luxembourg is no exception and faces the same challenges as other countries to help people engage in prevention such as by adopting a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nWorkshops, ambassadors and events throughout the country<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To reach a broad audience, a series of events will happen all around Luxembourg throughout the year 2026. From April to June, the GetBrainHealthy team will offer interactive workshops about the brain in collaboration with municipalities throughout the country. These workshops will make evidence-based scientific knowledge accessible and engaging for everyone. It will empower the public \u2013 residents, employees, on-field specialists, \u2026 <\/em>\u2013 and help them understand how the brain works, break myths surrounding it, and provide real strategies to boost brain power and protect brain health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Led by Dr. Laure Pauly<\/a> and with scientific guidance from Prof. Anja Leist<\/a> and a broader team of experts in psychology, neuroscience and public health, the content is developed collaboratively with dedicated researchers at the University of Luxembourg, local experts and external partners. A multilingual website<\/a> (FR, LU, DE, PT) is now online, where visitors can find practical tips for improving brain health and in-depth explanations of related topics \u2013 such as the impact of physical activity, pregnancy or air pollution, on the brain. It will be complemented by an Instagram channel<\/a>, featuring well-known Luxembourgish ambassadors, such as Fr\u00e4nk Schleck, Vera Hoffmann and Ms and Mr Science, who share their favourite tips for taking care of their brain. To gather insights on people\u2019s beliefs and behaviours, the team has launched a survey to help tailor future brain\u2011health strategies to the country\u2019s needs.
Getbrainhealthy also collaborates closely with healthcare organisations such as Stefftung Hellef Doheem and Association Luxembourg Alzheimer, offering training sessions to support professionals working in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nAbout GetBrainHealthy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

GetBrainHealthy is a public health and science communication initiative founded by Prof. Anja Leist, Melissa Chan, and Dr. Laure Pauly. The project is based at the University of Luxembourg and funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). Its mission is to empower people of all ages to understand, protect and improve their brain function throughout life. By providing accessible, evidence\u2011based information and practical tools, GetBrainHealthy aims to help individuals make informed choices that support a healthier brain today and in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
