This talk explores how media and relationships shape moral judgment biases. First, I will review work that demonstrates that the magnitude of bias corresponds to the severity of moral violations committed by media characters. Then, by leveraging the dynamics of real-life relationships, I will show how relational closeness biases moral evaluations. Lastly, I will share data showing how an AI\u2019s emotional expressions can elicit pity when humans abuse them, ultimately producing moral judgment biases.
