This time, our very own <strong>Ruth Reicher<\/strong> will discuss how pre-modern literary stagings of \u201eextreme bodies\u201c are effective as mechanisms that transcend time and continue to have an impact on current strategies of self-representation, e.g., in the narratives of successful influencers like MrBeast. we look forward to see you at the talk, either on site or online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"abstract\"\n    >\nAbstract<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Dass sich der junge \u201cl\u00eef van smerzen b\u00f4ch\u201d (aus Bruder Hermanns Yolanda von Vianden), ist nicht nur in Narrativen vormoderner Texte pr\u00e4sent, sondern wird vermutlich produktiv in Darstellungen moderner, einflussreicher \u2018Erz\u00e4hlungen\u2019 reproduziert. Der Beitrag unternimmt den Versuch, vormoderne K\u00f6rperinszenierung als verhei\u00dfungsvoll, mithin Medien der Kommunikation zu interpretieren, indem untersucht wird, inwiefern sich extreme Selbstdarstellungen als narrative Schablonen in einer Auswahl von mittelhochdeutschen Texten etablieren und wie diese m\u00f6glicherweise produktiv in die dargestellte Selbstinszenierung nachfolgender Epochen (exemplarisch) \u00fcbertragen und transformiert werden. Extreme der K\u00f6rperinszenierung sind dabei gleicherma\u00dfen destruktiv wie konstitutiv: Durch selbstzerst\u00f6rerische K\u00f6rperpraktiken wird prozesshaft ein Ideal geschaffen, das im und am K\u00f6rper der Protagonistinnen externalisiert und sichtbar wird.
