Using GeoAI and multi-criteria analysis, we will prototype a focused pilot and demonstrate two priority use-cases: (i) siting off-grid\/mini-grid solar and (ii) targeting interventions that reduce pressure on forests (e.g., clean cooking, agroforestry). The study will (1) organise a co-design workshop with government, NGO and community stakeholders to elicit user needs, priorities, data requirements and constraints; (2) specify the technical architecture and develop a data dictionary; (3) implement a proof-of-concept web map integrating at least two layers; and (4) deliver a partnership plan, risk register, and a multi-annual budget for a 2\u20133-year project scale-up. Outputs emphasise capacity and knowledge transfer, aligning with LuxAid BRIDGES objectives of technology assistance, capacity building and sustainable impact in priority geographies.\n\nThe GeoSDG Seedlings project is being developed in cooperation with a Luxembourg startup LuxGeospatial (LGEO) and will integrate relevant stakeholders in Benin, fostering North\u2013South research collaboration and knowledge exchange. \nLuxGeospatial (LGEO) is a Luxembourg-based geospatial innovation company dedicated to developing smart, sustainable solutions through advanced spatial technologies. Hosted by the University of Luxembourg Incubator, LGEO operates across Europe, Africa, the UK, and the USA, offering services in GIS, digital modeling, drone surveying, laser scanning, and precision agriculture.","rp_start_date":"2026-06-01 15:21:00","rp_duration":3,"rp_main_funder":"FNR - Luxembourg - LUXDEV","rp_other_funders":[],"rp_external_partners":["-"],"rp_keywords":["GeoAI","SDGeo Planning Cadastre","Web Mapping","sustainability","West Africa","social-ecological landscapes","environmental degradation"],"rp_members":[{"name":"Catherine JONES","isPI":true,"isExternal":false,"featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwMjI4MzBfX0NhdGhlcmluZSBKT05FUw==","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/people\/catherine-jones\/","id":"50022830"}]},"research-project-status":[271],"research-project-type":[263,268],"field-of-interest":[286],"organisation":[149,147],"authorship":[127],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches\/35035"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/core-researches"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/127"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches\/35035\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":35036,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches\/35035\/revisions\/35036"}],"wp:authorship":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/127"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/35059"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=35035"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"research-project-status","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/research-project-status?post=35035"},{"taxonomy":"research-project-type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/research-project-type?post=35035"},{"taxonomy":"field-of-interest","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/field-of-interest?post=35035"},{"taxonomy":"organisation","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/organisation?post=35035"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
