PD symptoms lead to a variety of impairments (e.g., functional impairments, social restrictions, activity limitations) that are highly individual. The impact of these impairments on the everyday life of PD patients and consequently on patients\u2019 Quality of Life (QoL) and subjective well-being (SWB) are inevitable. SWB is not only a relevant variable in its own right, but also because of its influences on important outcomes such as health-related behaviour and health status. Thus, interventions to promote SWB of PD patients are also becoming an important topic. This dissertation aims to develop a brief personalized assessment method (PAM) to measure subjective well-being (SWB) and its causes in patients with Parkinson\u2019s disease (PD) that will be implemented in digital format. The PAM shall be used by patients, physicians, and clinical psychologists to support the implementation of personalized interventions to promote SWB in PD patients.\n\nThe project will pursue this aim by the following interrelated goals. First, identification of PD symptoms and their impacts on daily life that influence the level of SWB in PD patients based on existing studies (method: a systematic review); second, determination of PD patients subtypes based on the work related to the first goal (method: cluster analyses with large existing data sets on PD patients); third, \u2013 based on work related to goal 1 and 2 \u2013 development of a new and brief digital personalized assessment method of SWB tailored on the requirements of PD patients (methods: requirement analyses for PAM, surveys with patients & doctors as users; psychometric analysis of PAM items).
