Nora Isabel Nicolai is a PhD candidate in the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences at the Institute of Health and Behaviour. Within the framework of her interdisciplinary PhD project “LeukoKids – Impact of early life stress on health in children with leukaemia”, she combines the fields of psychology, medicine, and epigenetics (supervisor: Prof. Dr. Claus Vögele). Collaborations partners include the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), the Klinikum Mutterhaus der Borromäerinnen, the Gemeinschaftsklinikum Mittelrhein gGmbH, the University of Lausanne and the University of Fribourg.
Before starting her PhD, she completed her master’s degree in Psychology: Psychological Intervention (health domain) at the University of Luxembourg. She also studied Public Health and Leadership in Health at the University of California, Berkeley.
Her research interests focus on health psychology, child psychology, clinical psychology, medical psychology, public health, cancer research, leadership & management in health care.
