On April 19 and 20, the Master’s in Secondary Education (MES) proudly represented the FHSE at the 2026 edition of the YEP! Schoulfoire, a national fair dedicated to academic and career guidance in Luxembourg. This major event brings together students, teachers, and education professionals in a setting conducive to discovery and dialogue about career options.
On this occasion, MES students, accompanied by Associate Professors Constanze Weth and Tonia Raus, were on hand to meet visiting students. Their mission: to offer language-related activities that were both accessible and engaging.
Learning through play: a different approach
Throughout these two days, students from elementary and secondary school took part in interactive activities designed to spark their curiosity and creativity.
“There were well-known games such as Memory and ‘Fruit, Country, Stop.’ There was also a scavenger hunt based on grammar challenges and other games centered on storytelling. Some games were collaborative, others competitive, and others were more traditional—using pen and paper,” notes Constanze Weth.
These two days at the YEP! Schoulfoire were marked by strong participation, a friendly atmosphere, and rich exchanges with the students.
We warmly thank all the participants, especially the students for their dedication, and the organizers for the quality of the event, as well as all the classes that came to meet us. A stimulating and inspiring experience that confirms the importance of creating open spaces for dialogue between future teachers and today’s students to support future generations in their career planning.
