Welcome to Luxembourg

We are delighted to welcome you to the 54th Congress of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie (DGPs), which will take place from September 7 to 10, 2026 at the European Convention Center Luxembourg. Situated in an international, culturally and historically rich environment, the congress invites participants to present, discuss, and further develop psychology in all its scientific breadth and societal relevance.

Under the motto Haltung. Vielfalt. Zukunft., we will focus on key challenges in both science and society. The three central congress topics, which will be explored in keynote lectures and interdisciplinary panel discussions, are: Mental Health, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, Psychology of Sustainable Behavior. They address current psychological questions and are closely linked to the four guiding principles of the current DGPs board period: taking responsibility in times of crisis, promoting unity and diversity within our field, supporting early career researchers, and building bridges and fostering networks.

Beyond these topics, the congress motto Haltung. Vielfalt. Zukunft. will be reflected throughout the entire program. The full spectrum of psychological research will be showcased in keynotes, symposia, poster sessions, and discussion forums. We warmly invite your contributions—both to the core themes and to the wider field of psychology.

Supporting early career researchers is a particular priority for us. To facilitate participation for students and doctoral candidates, we are awarding 40 travel grants of 500 euros each.

We cordially invite you to join us in taking a stand, embracing diversity of our field, and shaping the future of psychology.

Welcome to Luxembourg—we look forward to seeing you!
