It consists of two parts \u2013 on the one hand a scholarship covering student accommodation costs in order to financially support the recipients; on the other hand the opportunity to complete an internship at Ferrero to build practical skills and provide work experience.<\/p><p>Students were chosen based on their application file and an interview. \u201cThe Ferrero Fellowship aims to foster young talent,\u201d explained the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. \u201cThe five candidates chosen were selected for academic excellence, their motivation and drive, their engagement and dedication to their studies and extracurricular activities.\u201d<\/p><p>The successful candidates \u2013 Lorena Alizoti, Jason Cranfield, Philipp Dahlem, Liang Shihui and Roman Ursu \u2013 were officially awarded their fellowship certificates at a special event hosted by Ferrero at their headquarters in Findel.<\/p><p><strong>\u2018The Ferrero extended family\u2019<\/strong><\/p><p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2023\/07\/with_more_opaque_logo_2.jpg\"\n                srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2023\/07\/with_more_opaque_logo_2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2023\/07\/with_more_opaque_logo_2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2023\/07\/with_more_opaque_logo_2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2023\/07\/with_more_opaque_logo_2.jpg 1280w\"\n                style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 3\/2; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure>They were welcomed by Mr Bruno Conti, HR Director at the Luxembourg headquarters. Working with the University to support bright young minds is \u201cclose to our history and our DNA,\u201d he said. \u201cWe will be following your progress closely,\u201d he told the students. \u201cOur expectation from you is commitment, good academic results and personal integrity.\u201d<\/p><p>Following a tour of the HQ including the Kinder Surprise Showroom, a well-kept secret and archive of the company\u2019s most iconic Kinder Surprise toys, Mr Conti encouraged the students to remember \u201ctwo simple principles: never be afraid to make mistakes and never stop chasing your dreams.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cYou are now part of the Ferrero extended family,\u201d he concluded.<\/p><p>Prof. Eric Tschirhart of the University\u2019s Technology Transfer and Fundraising Unit, who was instrumental in setting up the partnership, thanked all colleagues involved for filling the partnership with life. \u201cThis cooperation began when Ferrero hosted a most extraordinary stand at the UniCareers fair, demonstrating their interest in our students.
