Researchers from top universities and institutes across Europe, South America and the United States of America joined the event alongside practitioners from the European Central Bank, the Bank of Italy and the Bank of Portugal.<\/p><p>\u201cWe\u2019re very happy to be part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tilburguniversity.edu\/research\/institutes-and-research-groups\/ebc\/network\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">EBC Network<\/a> and to organise the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/fdef\/news\/10th_european_banking_center_network_conference\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">10<sup>th<\/sup> annual conference<\/a> here in Luxembourg,\u201d commented the local organisers, <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/recherche\/fdef\/df\/people\/thorsten_lehnert\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Prof. Thorsten Lehnert<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/recherche\/fdef\/df\/people\/christian_wolff\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Prof. Christian Wolff<\/a>. \u201cThe network was founded with the aim to stimulate and disseminate banking research. The members of the EBC Network complement each other well, with diverse interests in banking research. Financial institutions are a central pillar of the research we do here at the Uni.lu Luxembourg School of Finance.\u201d<\/p><p>By bringing academics and financial institutions together, the network hopes to address key issues facing the industry. \u201cWe were able to discuss numerous important topics at the conference this year.
