Her thesis, \u201cLa competence d\u2019incrimination de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne. Recherche sur le pouvoir p\u00e9nal europ\u00e9en\u201d, investigates aspects of European criminal law under the Treaty of Lisbon.<\/p><p>The Prix Vend\u00f4me was presented to Dr Simon by French Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet at a ceremony in Paris in February. The prize is awarded by the Ministry and the public interest group \u201cMission de recherche droit et justice\u201d in association with the \u201cRevue Droit P\u00e9nal\u201d published by Lexis Nexis.<\/p><p>In addition to the Prix Vend\u00f4me, Dr Simon has also been awarded the \u201cPrix de la Chancellerie des Universit\u00e9s de Paris 2018\u201d, one of 17 laureates in the law and political science group.<\/p><p>Dr Simon currently works as the University of Luxembourg liaison officer on site at the National University of Laos, managing operations of a cooperation project between both universities.
