{"id":172,"date":"2018-07-11T07:39:41","date_gmt":"2018-07-11T07:39:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/website.prod.unilu.spikeseed.cloud\/fdef-fr\/news\/crea-best-paper-award-presented-to-postdocs\/"},"modified":"2018-07-11T07:39:41","modified_gmt":"2018-07-11T07:39:41","slug":"crea-best-paper-award-presented-to-postdocs","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-fr\/news\/crea-best-paper-award-presented-to-postdocs\/","title":{"rendered":"CREA Best Paper Award presented to postdocs"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\"><p>Postdoctoral researchers Michal Burzynski and Imen Derouiche received the Best Paper Award presented annually by the Centre for Research in Economics and Management (CREA) to two if its junior researchers.<\/p><p>Michal Burzynski was awarded the prize for his paper \u201cThe Welfare Impact of Global Migration in OECD Countries\u201d, co-authored with Amandine Aubry (Universit\u00e9 Paris 1 Panth\u00e9on-Sorbonne) and Frederic Docquier (Universit\u00e9 catholique de Louvain) and published in the Journal of International Economics.<\/p><p>The second award was given to <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/recherche\/fdef\/dem\/people\/imen_derouiche\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Imen Derouiche<\/a> for her work on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1042444X16300469\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Firm geographic location and voluntary disclosure<\/a>\u201d written with Kaouther Jafaar and Ahmed Zemzem (both University of Sousse) and published in the Journal of Multinational Financial Management.<\/p><p>The award is based on information from Scopus, an abstract and citation database.
