While the policy rationale is sound, Prof. Zetzsche critizes the EU\u2019s sustainability taxonomy now spanning over several thousands of pages.\u00a0 He proposes to supplement mandatory regulation with &lsquo;sandbox thinking&rsquo;, that is acknowledging the need to test different criteria and regulatory approaches, resulting in openness to innovation and proportionality. With more than 400 publications to date Professor Zetzsche\u00a0is an\u00a0internationally regarded expert in financial regulation with special expertise\u00a0in the field of collective investment schemes, FinTech, Sustainable Finance and Financial Inclusion.
