\nResearch-visiting programme<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our research visiting-programme welcomes applications for research stays at the Department of Law of the University of Luxembourg. Senior researchers (who received their PhD at least five years ago) and researchers (post-doctoral researchers who received their PhD less than 5 years ago) can conduct their research here for a period within six months, with the possibility to exceptionally extend this period to up to one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No funding is provided under the visiting programme. This, however, does not exclude the possibility of external or internal funding under different programmes\/projects or under different cooperation agreements between the two institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting researchers are very welcome to participate in the life of the Department, attend any academic events and present their research in different fora (lunchtime seminars, seminars, workshops, conferences). Teaching, if requested, cannot be guaranteed but can be discussed on an ad hoc basis, depending on the needs of the teaching programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior researchers will have access to an office and a PC in the Weicker building (in Luxembourg-City), where the Department of Law is located. A maximum of four senior researchers<\/strong> can be accepted per intake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the winter semester the 6-month period starts every 1st<\/sup> September and for the summer semester every 1st<\/sup> March. For EU nationals the deadline to apply is 1 May (for the winter semester) and 1 November for the summer semester. For non-EU nationals, the respective deadlines are 1 January and 1 September. To apply, senior researchers and researchers should contact a \u2018sponsor\u2019 from within the department who is close to their research interests\/project. The application addressed to the sponsor should include a CV and a letter of application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PhD students in law who wish to do a research stay at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg are invited to contact the Doctoral School of Law<\/a><\/strong> directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission and selection decision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The admission and the selection decision will be based on the following criteria:  research output, possibility to work on a common project, possibility to contribute to the research interests of the Department of Law, University affiliation and, if applicable, existence of a partnership agreement between the University of Luxembourg and the given institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
