Labour Law at the Department of Law, University of Luxembourg. He currently holds a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/research-departments\/department-of-law\/jean-monnet-chair-in-eu-labour-law-sesame\/\">Jean Monnet Chair in EU Labour Law<\/a>. He is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/study-programs\/master-en-droit-europeen-premiere-annee\/\">Director of the Master 1 in European law (first year)<\/a> and the head of the Teaching committee at the Department of Law. \u00a0At University level, he is an active member of the Reasonable Accommodations Committee, tasked to raise awareness (also through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6EkxO85aEr8\">videos and social media<\/a>) and support students\u2019 special needs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"research\"\n    >\nResearch<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>Prof. Ratti\u2019s main research themes include in-work poverty and the regulation of minimum wages, the digitalisation of work relations, and the sustainability of the European social model.<\/p>\n\n<p>He has obtained as PI important competitive funding including: Horizon2020 project <a href=\"https:\/\/workingyetpoor.eu\/\">Working Yet Poor (2020\/2023)<\/a>, recently awarded by the EU Commission Research Agency as one of <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu\/en\/projects\/success-stories\/all\/uncovering-europes-hidden-poverty\">Horizon Europe\u2019s success stories (April 2025)<\/a>; IAS Audacity project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/events\/well-being-at-work-in-a-dissolved-workplace-interdisciplinary-challenges\/\">W@W \u2013 Wellbeing at Work<\/a> (2021\/2024) focused on <a href=\"https:\/\/bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s12889-025-22349-4\">remote work and workers\u2019 well-being<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>He has recently published as editor: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomsbury.com\/uk\/eu-directive-on-adequate-minimum-wages-9781509968725\/\">The EU Directive on Adequate Minimum Wages (Hart Publishing 2024)<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomsbury.com\/uk\/working-yet-poor-9781509966547\/\">Working Yet Poor: Challenges to EU Social Citizenship (Hart Publishing 2023)<\/a>; and <a href=\"https:\/\/law-store.wolterskluwer.com\/s\/product\/inwork-poverty-in-europe-vulnerable-and-underrprsntd-prsns-in-a-comp-prspctve\/01t4R00000OkAksQAF?srsltid=AfmBOooGCFse4UUOxdHPAOxd1aXxh2pkZnApS7SlOb0J8wPuggqz3dAD\">In-Work Poverty in Europe. He has been interviewed several times by newspapers (<em>Wort<\/em>, <em>Delano<\/em>, <em>Tageblatt<\/em>, <em>La Repubblica<\/em>, <em>L\u00ebtzebuerger Journal<\/em>, <em>Lux Times<\/em>), radio stations (<em>Radio 100.7<\/em>; <em>RTL Radio<\/em>), and TV channels (<em>RTL<\/em>), contributing to the public debate on these topics and participating in podcasts and documentaries. Between 2012 and 2015, he was Senior Researcher (<em>Ricercatore<\/em>) and Adjunct Professor in Labour Law, at the University of Bologna. He joined the University of Luxembourg in 2015. He is part of the European Centre of Expertise on Labour Law and has been consulted regularly by EU institutions including the EU Commission and European Parliament.
