with their original name (as listed on host universities curriculum) \u2013 if the course name is in any other language than French, English, German, Portuguese or Spanish, please list the original name and a French or English translation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list list-highlighted list-highlighted--architectural\"><li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"specifics-on-courses\"\n    >\nSpecifics on courses<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>\u2022 Make sure to take courses according to your study level. <strong>No bachelor courses for master students!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>\u2022 Courses should somehow correspond to student&#8217;s field of study (e.g. no sports or similar courses)<\/p>\n\n<p>\u2022 You cannot change the course choice after the exam for an approved course has already taken place.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u2022 You cannot take more courses to have extras in case you fail one of the others. This is not possible while studying at the University of Luxembourg and we will not allow it during the mobility semester.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u2022 You should not take courses you have already taken here at the University of Luxembourg nor ones that will take place at Uni.lu upon your return<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"specifics-on-ects\"\n    >\nSpecifics on ECTS<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>\u2022 If you insist on taking an<strong> additional course<\/strong>, it must be marked as \u201c<strong>optional<\/strong>\u201d, meaning . The <strong>ECTS won\u2019t count<\/strong> towards the 30 required ones. If you fail an of the approved courses counting toward the 30 required and approved ones, you will still have to catch up on those missing ECTS even though you had taken an optional course. They will be validated as an optional course taken abroad. You either must do the re-sit at your host university for the failed course(s) or catch up on the missing ECTS at the University of Luxembourg.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u2022 Foreign universities not located in Europe or not participating in the Bologna scheme, do not apply the ECTS system, therefore you need to enter the local (foreign) credits and the equivalent ECTS \u2013 check this list of countries and how their university credits convert to ECTS (if your destination is not included, contact <a href=\"mailto:stephanie.anderson@uni.lu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stephanie.anderson@uni.lu<\/a>). Make sure to reach the required 30 ECTS. The table is an approximate conversion, the actual conversion depends on your host university, the workload\/contact hours and credits per semester \/ year\/ degree. Should you have the impression that the conversion is not correct, please contact stephanie.anderson@uni.lu and provide supporting evidence.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"specifics-on-language-courses\"\n    >\nSpecifics on language courses<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>No more than one language course<\/strong> \u2013 maximum approvable ECTS: 5 &#8211; any ECTS over will not count towards the required 30 ECTs, should any of the other courses not be completed successfully<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Cannot take language course in native language (subject courses can be taken in any language, this only concerns language courses!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">No French language course if your studies here at Uni.lu are conducted in French, even partly in French (Bachelor\u2019s programmes, Master in Law)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>No language course<\/strong> in language with a level <strong>higher than B2<\/strong> (as indicated in ACME)<br>Luxembourgish students that went through the Luxembourgish high school system have a language level of C1 \/C2 in French\/German and usually B2 in English &#8211; we check which level you indicated when you enrolled at the University of Luxembourg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Make sure to <strong>sign the document before submitting<\/strong> it either by email or via the online platform \u2013 <strong>if you submit the OLA<\/strong>, you <strong>don\u2019t<\/strong> need to <strong>send a pdf copy<\/strong> as well. A typed name does not qualify as signature!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">The OLA version is automatically transmitted to your host university (granted you entered their contact email correctly) and they can either accept and sign or decline it). You will get a notification in both cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">The pdf version must be <strong>submitted to your host university by yourself.<\/strong> Once they have signed it, make sure to send a copy of the completely signed document to <a href=\"mailto:stephanie.anderson@uni.lu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stephanie.anderson@uni.lu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Follow your host University&#8217;s instructions on how to register for courses and for exams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"py-0 wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"modify\"\n    >\nHow to modify a learning agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In any case, <strong>the learning agreement completed before the mobility is preliminary.<\/strong> Your host university might decline your course choice (e.g. course not available, not open to incomings, etc.) or you learn that the courses schedules overlap. In that case, you must submit a modified learning agreement or a new learning agreement. The same rules as described above apply but please also consider that your host university usually indicates a deadline by which you will have to have changed your course choice and getting your programme director\u2019s approval (via Ms. Anderson) before that deadline is vital. If you change your course choice and it doesn\u2019t get approved, you risk not getting them validated. Make sure to send it early enough to still have enough time to change the courses again if they get declined at the University of Luxembourg. It takes at least a couple of days to process your learning agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The modified learning agreement must be submitted depending on which system you used to submit your initial learning agreement and its status:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">If you did the online learning agreement (OLA) you need to use that system again for your changes\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">If the previous version <strong>was signed<\/strong> by your host university, submit a modification (changes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">If the previous version <strong>was not signed<\/strong>, submit a new version of the OLA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">If you completed the Word template and submitted it as a pdf, please submit a pdf again\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">If your previous version <strong>was signed<\/strong>, use the 2nd page for \u201cduring the mobility\u201d \u2013 modifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">If your previous version <strong>was not signed<\/strong>, submit a new version of page 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you fail any exams at your host university, you should find out how to take re-sits (<em>rattrapages<\/em>) at your host university. If it is not possible to resit, please refer to the information \u201c<em>dettes de mobilit\u00e9<\/em>\u201d, usually found in the document \u201c<em>R\u00e8gles de fonctionnement du&#8230;<\/em>\u201d on Moodle. If you have questions how to catch up on missing ECTs from mobility, please contact your study programme administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once we receive your transcript of records from the host university \u2013 we cannot accept a copy sent by you, we will verify if the courses approved via your final learning agreement (<strong>must be signed by all three parties, make sure to submit that document<\/strong>) correspond to the courses on the transcript. We cannot accept a copy sent by you unless it is a secure document (cannot be easily altered). Please have your host university send a copy of the transcript to <a href=\"mailto:stephanie.anderson@uni.lu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stephanie.anderson@uni.lu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will validate the ones that you successfully completed (strictly by pass and fail), no grades are converted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compensation is only applied if your host university applied compensation and it is visible on the transcript of records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"extend\"\n    >\nExtending your study abroad semester<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An extension from the winter to the summer semester is only possible in exceptional cases and a request for extension must be submitted to <a href=\"mailto:stephanie.anderson@uni.lu\">stephanie.anderson@uni.lu<\/a>. The study programme directors decides on the extension and you will be informed of the decision and provided with a form to be completed by you, your host university and us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">The host university must approve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">You are not extending as an Erasmus student but as a free mover (tuition fees might apply)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">There are a certain number of spots available within each Erasmus agreement.
