The inaugural issue of the Journal of AI Law and Regulation (AIRe) is live, marking a significant step in the domain of artificial intelligence (AI) governance and regulation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Co-founded by Prof. Dr. Mark D. COLE, member of the editorial board and professor in the Law Department, AIRe promises to become an essential resource for AI experts internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIRe covers various range of law which are affected by AI, such as privacy and data protection, IP, anti-discrimination law, human rights, consumer protection law, as well as sectoral legal developments, e.g. in healthcare, financial services, transport, agriculture. The journal also considers important judgments that shape the field of AI law and regulation, particularly those by the international courts and tribunals, regional courts (e.g. European Courts), and higher national courts. AIRe is published quarterly and is available in print and online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AIRe 1-2024\u2019s Reports section provides timely updates on global, regional, and national developments, including insights from international bodies such as the OECD, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe, as well as updates from countries like Nigeria, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the articles section, readers can explore deep interpretations covering different topics, including the psychological patterns underpinning the EU AI Act, regulatory approaches tethered to purpose limitation for AI models, and the pivotal role of institutional review boards in shaping AI-based medical products research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In celebration of the journal’s launch, Lexxion Publisher is hosting an afternoon event on the EU AI Act. Scheduled for April 11, 2024, the event will feature a keynote speech and panel discussion on the legislation’s implications for AI governance in Europe and beyond. The seminar is organised in collaboration with The Future Society, it can be attended both in-person in Brussels and online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch of AIRe’s inaugural issue marks a significant step in fostering dialogue, collaboration, and informed decision-making within the changing environment of AI governance and regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
