{"id":9550,"date":"2024-03-20T08:40:04","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T07:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=9550"},"modified":"2024-08-08T11:59:02","modified_gmt":"2024-08-08T09:59:02","slug":"call-for-papers-for-the-cepr-essec-luxembourg-conference-on-sustainable-financial-intermediation","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/news\/call-for-papers-for-the-cepr-essec-luxembourg-conference-on-sustainable-financial-intermediation\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for papers for the CEPR-ESSEC-Luxembourg Conference on Sustainable Financial Intermediation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p>The University of Luxembourg, together with ESSEC Business School, and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) is organizing a conference on \u201cSustainable Financial Intermediation in Credit and Housing Markets\u201d on <strong>29 &amp; 30 July 2024<\/strong> in the Moselle wine region of Luxembourg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of this conference is to bring together a small group of researchers in a stimulating and pleasant atmosphere, surrounded by nature and the beautiful landscapes of the Moselle valley. We are inviting submissions of both theoretical and empirical papers on topics related to <strong>financial intermediation, household finance, and corporate finance.<\/strong> The conference will feature the presentation of 8 papers (&amp; 8 discussions) with <strong>a focus on (but not limited to) the financing of \u201cgreen\u201d assets<\/strong>, a keynote presentation from <strong>Adriano Rampini <\/strong>(Duke University, NBER, CEPR, FARFE), and several opportunities for knowledge exchange and networking.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Paper submission procedure:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested authors should submit their papers as a pdf-file by <strong>15 April 2024<\/strong>, the latest, by filling in the following <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/2ZAyHJMZj9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online form<\/a>. Complete papers in an early stage will also be considered. We ask you not to submit papers that have been accepted for publication in a journal or are close to being accepted. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by early May 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Expenses covered:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel expenses of presenters and discussants will be covered by the conference organizers as well as up to two nights of accommodation for EU participants, and three nights for non-EU. Shuttles will be organized from the airport\/train station to the conference venue.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Practical
