Previous speakers at this event commemorating one of the most influential copyright lawyers of the UK included EU Commissioners, WIPO Director General and leading intellectual property law professors from the US, Australia and the UK.<\/p><p>On 7 April Prof. Cole spoke about \u201cThe Answer to Platform Regulation is in the Regulation of Platforms\u201d and gave the audience insights into the EU\u2019s efforts in regulating online platforms, what future legislation may look like and how this regulation impacting intellectual property law has developed from the EU\u2019s e-Commerce Directive and Information Society Directive to the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act.<\/p><p><strong>Watch the lecture recording:<\/strong><\/p><p><\/p><p><strong>About the Charles Clark Memorial Lecture<\/strong><\/p><p>The annual Memorial Lecture honours the achievements of Charles Clark who was a British lawyer, publisher, and authority on copyright law.
