It was organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person\/NTAwMDI4NTNfX1BpZXJyZSBNIFBJQ0FSRA==\/\">Prof. Pierre Picard<\/a> and Postdoctoral Researcher Evgenii Monastyrenko and supported by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fnr.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FNR<\/a>) 14755507. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop focused on several key questions. Firstly, it addressed the implications of international sanctions and armed conflicts on trade and welfare. Subsequently, the discussions delved into the impact of climate change and policies such as the EU Green Deal on trade flows. Another focal points were the intersection of pandemics with global trade, the causes and effects of trade shocks on the global economy and how product quality responds to these transformative shocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To answer those questions, several researchers specializing in these areas presented their latest research papers, covering topics such as the &#8220;Implications of international sanctions and armed conflicts on trade and welfare,&#8221; &#8220;Influence of environmental policies on international trade,&#8221; &#8220;Intersection of pandemics with global trade dynamics,&#8221; &#8220;Responses of product quality to global trade shocks,&#8221; and &#8220;Role and dynamics of global value chains.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop fostered meaningful discussions and created a platform for the international exchange of ideas.
