{"id":5006,"date":"2023-09-29T11:08:11","date_gmt":"2023-09-29T09:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=5006"},"modified":"2024-08-09T13:17:45","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T11:17:45","slug":"2023-pierre-werner-scholarship-laureates-celebrated-at-the-reception-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/news\/2023-pierre-werner-scholarship-laureates-celebrated-at-the-reception-ceremony\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Pierre Werner Scholarship Laureates Celebrated at the Reception Ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p>On 28 September 2023, during a ceremony hosted by the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance, four doctoral researchers from the University of Luxembourg were officially presented with the Pierre Werner Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four laureates, <strong>Laura Aade<\/strong>, <strong>Laura Gil-Besada<\/strong>, <strong>Henriette Heimbach<\/strong>, and <strong>Anna Machura-Urbaniak<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/news\/congratulations-to-the-2023-pierre-werner-scholarship-winners\/\">were chosen<\/a> based on their impressive past academic achievements, civic accomplishments, and outstanding research work promoting the ideas of Pierre Werner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. <strong>Arnaud Dupuy<\/strong>, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance, opened the ceremony by welcoming the guests and congratulating the laureates. They presented their doctoral research to the members of the Fondation Pierre Werner, as well as to <strong>Tonika Hirdman<\/strong>, Director General of the Fondation de Luxembourg. Inspired by the ideals of Pierre Werner, the Pierre Werner Scholarship fosters European integration.
