{"id":4425,"date":"2023-09-14T07:52:02","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T05:52:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=4425"},"modified":"2025-05-27T09:37:54","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T07:37:54","slug":"call-for-papers-doctoral-workshop-enforcement-of-law-in-multi-level-regulatory-systems-7-8-december","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/news\/call-for-papers-doctoral-workshop-enforcement-of-law-in-multi-level-regulatory-systems-7-8-december\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for papers | Doctoral Workshop: Enforcement of law in multi-level regulatory systems | 7-8 December"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p>The Doctoral Workshop is organised in the context of the joint research programme \u2018<strong>Doctoral Training Unit on Enforcement in Multi-Level Regulatory Systems II (DTU REMS II)<\/strong>\u2019 of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF) of the University of Luxembourg and the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law (MPI Luxembourg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is open to PhD candidates and post-doctoral researchers in any field of law who wish to present their research on a topic relating to the application and enforcement of law in multi-level regulatory systems. Such systems may be characterised by the interdependence between public and private actors or by the existence of rules emanating from divergent sources of law, be it of different geographical scope (e.g., national, EU and international law) or\/and hierarchical level (e.g., secondary and primary EU law). The Workshop is particularly (but not only) addressed to researchers engaged in the fields of external relations, restrictive measures (sanctions), taxation, finance and banking, asylum, data protection, and criminal justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite all interested contributors to send an abstract (500 words max) and a short <em>curriculum <\/em>vitaeto <a href=\"mailto:dtu.rems@gmail.com\">dtu.rems@gmail.com<\/a> before 9 October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By mid-October 2023, all applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection procedure. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a draft (8000 words max) before 22 November 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Structure of the Doctoral Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2-day Workshop will start on Thursday 7 December at 14:00 and will end on Friday 8 December at lunchtime.
