The University of Luxembourg and the University of Geneva (Switzerland) have signed an agreement to offer a dual Master\u2019s degree in law<\/a>, starting in the 2026-2027 academic year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opportunity is open to up to five University of Luxembourg students and up to five University of Geneva students per year, the two-year dual degree programme allows scholars to earn a diploma from both institutions. Students are selected based on merit, motivation and language skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The double Master\u2019s degree in Law jointly offered by the University of Geneva and the University of Luxembourg provides a unique opportunity to be trained by leading academics and practitioners from two of the world\u2019s most renowned financial centres,” says Associate Professor Thomas Mastrullo, the Study Programme Director for the Master in European Banking and Financial Law and dual degree programme contact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nTwo dynamic cities for finance and law<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the first year, students will study at the University of Geneva, a leading academic centre in the field of law. Students with an interest in international law and global regulation who are also interested in exploring financial and banking law will benefit from both the city\u2019s reputation as the first world hub for wealth management, and its important role as host to a multitude of international organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the second year of the programme, students study within the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg. Luxembourg, the leading European fund centre, is also one of the three institutional seats of the European Union, hosting the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Investment Bank, the Secretariat of the European Parliament, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
