These grants are specifically intended for deserving students facing social and financial difficulties. They are designed to help cover accommodation costs in a university residence and\/or general living expenses. In addition to university residences, accommodation provided by the City of Esch, R\u00fcmelange, Differdange, LISEL, or via the weconnect.lu platform is also accepted. The grant may be allocated to cover accommodation expenses, living costs, or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"eligibility\"\n    >\nEligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible students are those enrolled in a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s programme at the University of Luxembourg and facing social or financial difficulties. Those in their first semester,&nbsp;as well as those from their third semester onwards, may apply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grants may help cover accommodation costs and\/or general living expenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"applications\"\n    >\nApplications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are experiencing financial hardship and believe you meet the eligibility criteria, you are invited to apply by sending the documents to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:fdef.bourseportabella@uni.lu\">fdef.bourseportabella@uni.lu<\/a> by <strong>Wednesday, 10 December 2025,<\/strong> at the latest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must include the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Proof of accommodation in a university residence (or accommodation provided by the City of Esch, R\u00fcmelange, Differdange, LISEL, or the platform&nbsp;weconnect.lu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Transcript of grades (for Bachelor\u2019s students from their second semester onwards, and for all Master\u2019s students; this may be from the University of Luxembourg or the institution where you completed your first semester or first degree)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Signed letter of recommendation from your professor or study director<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Brief statement (maximum one page) outlining your financial and social situation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">CV (including your student ID)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Indication of how many semesters remain before completion of your Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All applications will be carefully reviewed, and you will receive a response as soon as possible. Applications will be treated in strict confidence, in accordance with data protection regulations, and you will receive a response by mid-January.
