In her forthcoming monograph publication, Dr. Elif Biber, postdoctoral researcher European Public Law and Digitalisation at the University of Luxembourg, argues the limits of European legal frameworks including the much-debated EU AI-Act and examines real-world cases where AI has challenged fundamental rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo meet these urgent challenges, I propose a&nbsp;rights-based inter-legal approach, delving into the theory of inter-legality, integrating leading European Court of Human Rights and European Court of Justice case law on new technologies,\u201d explains Dr. Biber. \u201cI also introduce a&nbsp;three-step adjudication model designed to&nbsp;enhance&nbsp;AI governance&nbsp;and rights protection.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA Rights-Based Inter-Legal Approach to Artificial Intelligence\u201d will be released in Fall 2025 by Hart Publishing.
