The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance is proud to highlight the recent success of Ksenia Usanova<\/a>, a former PhD student and Postdoctoral Researcher from the Department of Economics and Management (DEM)<\/a> at the University of Luxembourg. Ksenia has recently been appointed Assistant Professor at the University College Dublin (UCD) Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ksenia\u2019s research focuses on talent and HR management in the space industry, as well as in medium, small, and micro organizations (MSMEs) and the not-for-profit sector. Her doctoral thesis was nominated for the \u201cBest Thesis Award\u201d at the University of Luxembourg for the 2022-2023 academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group she joined at UCD is a strong team with members who have graduated from Oxford and Cambridge, hold an ERC, and publish in leading journals. In her message to her former colleagues at DEM, Ksenia expressed deep gratitude for the support, guidance, and opportunities provided by the department, which she credits for her professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ksenia extended her special gratitude to Micka\u00ebl Geraudel<\/a>, her PhD supervisor, and Nicolas Jonard<\/a>, her postdoctoral supervisor, for their continuous guidance, as well as to her colleagues and administrative staff at the University for their support during her time there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ksenia\u2019s success reflects our Faculty\u2019s and University\u2019s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for researchers, helping them achieve their full potential and thrive in competitive academic fields. Ksenia\u2019s new role at UCD is not only a testament to her hard work and dedication to research but also to the strength of DEM\u2019s research community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ksenia has made outstanding contributions to the field of Management Science. She served with great distinction as the representative of our doctoral and post-doctoral students. Her commitment to academia has been exemplary,” says Professor Andreas Irmen<\/a>, Head of the Department of Economics and Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
