The ATOZ Foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, will continue to support students within the Master 2 in European and International Tax Law (LL.M.) at the University of Luxembourg through a EUR 9,000 scholarship to a deserving student, based on financial criteria. Paid in two instalments, the scholarship is intended to help the laureate cover living and educational expenses during his or her Master 2 studies. The scholarship, established in 2014, will be renewed for a period of two years. Eleven students have already benefited from the scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the scholarship, the ATOZ Foundation has established the \u201cAward for Academic Excellence in Tax\u201d. The EUR 1,000 award is attributed to the student with the highest grade point average in the Master in European and International Tax Law. In 2022, Georges Gedgen was the first student to receive the award. <\/p>\n\n\n

As a long-time partner of the University of Luxembourg, and more specifically the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF), ATOZ Tax Advisers<\/a> and the University of Luxembourg created the ATOZ Chair in European and International Tax Law<\/a> in 2009. The Chair has been funded through the ATOZ Foundation<\/a> since 2012. Set up to develop research activities and high quality education in international and European tax law, the Chair played an integral role in the creation and launch of the Master 2 in European and International Tax Law (LL.M.) programme in 2011. Prof. Werner Haslehner<\/a>, Course Director of the Master in European and International Tax Law, has held the Chair since 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith the renewal of this scholarship opportunity, the ATOZ Foundation demonstrates a sustained trust in the quality of the Master programme and its students,\u201d said Prof. Katalin Ligeti, Dean of the FDEF. \u201cOur enduring and multifaceted partnership with the ATOZ Foundation is a powerful example of how we can grow together for the benefit of our students, industry and society at large,\u201d Prof. Ligeti continued.       <\/p>\n\n\n\n
