In addition, the European Commission\u2019s Explanatory Memorandum accompanying the proposed Regulation explicitly states that the CRA contributes to the protection of fundamental rights. While the combination of certain approaches has a longer tradition within EU harmonized law (e.g., the risk-based and product safety approaches) and is therefore less problematic, the <strong>integration of a rights-based approach<\/strong> into the traditional structures of product safety legislation is a recent development in the EU\u2019s legislative technique and thus deserves a deeper critical reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"about-the-speaker\"\n    >\nAbout the speaker<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unibo.it\/sitoweb\/piergiorgio.chiara2\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pier Giorgio<\/a> is an assistant Professor junior (ricercatore t. d. a) of the School of Law and CIRSFID \u2013 ALMA AI Center at the University of Bologna.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"language\"\n    >\n<strong>Language<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a free hybrid event.
