From the EU Agency of Cybersecurity, you will learn all there is to know on Cyber law. You will get<strong> insight into the role the EU Agency for Cybersecurity plays in this Cyber law making and implementing area<\/strong>. You will explore <strong>how the different laws interact with each other<\/strong> and what their <strong>impact on the EU market<\/strong> is\/will be. Moreover, how does the use of <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> and the AI Act influence these Cyber laws? AI can enhance cybersecurity and likewise it can have another side of the coin and advance the complexity and sophisticate cyberattacks, generating large scale, systemic cyber threats that are hard to predict, defend and recover from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU landscape of Cyberlaw is and continues to be a central point of <strong>geopolitical attention<\/strong>. Cybersecurity attacks and (digital) military attacks can no longer be clearly distinguished and seem to intertwine or integrate, leading to new insights and discussion on changed dimensions in Cyber-collaboration with other institutions like NATO, the EU Defense Agency, Europol, the UN and OECD that all have cyber programs.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"about-the-speaker\"\n    >\nAbout the speaker<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Renate Verheijen<\/strong> is a double qualified lawyer: she has a <strong>master\u2019s degree in international &amp; European Law<\/strong> and obtained a <strong>master&#8217;s degree in Private Law <\/strong>(specialization in business law with bar qualifications). With a solid background in consulting sector (EY) she built up her professional career as strategic advisor for the Board of Directors of a large hospital. She <strong>specialized in Cyberlaw<\/strong> and worked as legal counsel for Secura B.V. (Cybersecurity Services), respectively as Data Privacy Manager Europe for Fox-IT B.V.\/NCC (Cybersecurity Services) located in the Netherlands, before joining the EU Agency for Cybersecurity in Athens, Greece. <strong>Cybersecurity and more specifically EU Cybersecurity<\/strong>, is her true passion. She is a lead Implementer for ISO\/IEC 27002 and 27701 and is CIPP\/E certified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>She guided Cybersecurity Certification teams<\/strong> and their Ad Hoc Working Groups of experts that develop an EU Cybersecurity Certification Framework, from legal perspective and guided and supported the Member States (the EU Cybersecurity Certification Group: ECCG) and the European Commission in this respect. She was the central contact point for the EU Stakeholder Cybersecurity Certification Group (SCCG) on behalf of the Agency and closely involved in their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently she has been promoted as <strong>Head of Resources of the Agency<\/strong> dealing with legal, privacy and cybersecurity matters focusing on the Agency\u2019s internal organization as well as procurement, finance and HR matte<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"language\"\n    >\n<strong>Language<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a free hybrid event. Registration is mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will run from 12.30 until 14.00.
