Prior to his appointment as Full Professor in 2022, Prof. Arts held the position of Associate Professor at the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management within the Department of Economics and Management since 2017.Professor Arts\u2019 inaugural lecture focused on effects that the availability of data creates in the context of logistics and supply chain optimisation. While data helps us better align supply chains, it also brings challenges in data learning, sharing, and coordination, leading to increasingly difficult optimisation. Using practical cases from his own research of green routing, service operations for medical scanners, and supply chains for radioisotopes, Prof Arts illustrated how such challenges can be tackled.To get to know Prof. Arts a little better, we asked him a few questions about his background and his work."}
