FDEF hosts its second annual Partnership Event at MUDAM

    30 November 2023

The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF) was delighted to hold its second annual Partnership Event on Tuesday, 28 November, at MUDAM in Luxembourg.

The evening gathered over 100 participants. Among them were representatives from the University of Luxembourg and distinguished private and institutional partners affiliated with the FDEF.

The event celebrated partnership and academic excellence, shining a spotlight on our 2023 FDEF laureates, who were honoured to receive awards and prizes from our esteemed sponsors.

The Faculty is working with diverse companies and institutions on partnerships for education, research and outreach. Such partnerships prove to be a win-win situation for all sides, as they meet the needs of today’s recruiters and graduates. Students have access to valuable grants or prizes to continue their education or make their curriculum stand out. Joint teaching or networking activities offer students valuable insights and contacts with professionals in their field, which are grounds for both sides to consider internships or employment. Partnerships also offer a first opportunity to meet relevant employers in their field, while hard-working and exceptional students can stand out to potential recruiters. Considering the changing working environment, recruiters can also tap into this pool of future workers to understand the perceptions and perspectives of the next generation of employees.

Dean Katalin Ligeti inaugurated the ceremony with welcoming words highlighting the pivotal role of fostering partnerships between the University and external stakeholders. Professor Ligeti extended deep gratitude to all partners, acknowledging their essential contribution in empowering the faculty to fulfil its core missions of research, teaching and societal service.

The ceremony concluded with a networking cocktail, to stimulate significant connections among partners, students and FDEF professors. This friendly atmosphere offered the perfect environment for engaging conversations, allowing attendees to shape valuable connections.
