<strong>summer semester<\/strong>, the Language Centre offers <strong>training for tutors in language learning and writing<\/strong> in French, German and English. This training leads to a certificate from the Language Centre and equips you to advise your fellow students on language learning and writing academic papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The peer tutor programme on the following topics:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Supporting language learning processes<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Students learn about the various language learning methods so that they can support others as they learn languages. Topics include language learning consultations, setting learning goals and devising a study schedule, keeping a learning journal, ePortfolio work and self-assessment. Students will also be given an overview of language learning materials.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dates: 10 and 11 March, from 17.30 to 20.15<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Academic writing at the University<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Students learn about the methods used in consultations on writing. They are taught how to improve the writing process in academic and professional settings. Active participation means that students should not only attend the course but also reflect on and document their own learning process and observations in an ePortfolio.
