>\nBefore departure<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"step-3-application-at-the-receiving-institution\"\n    >\nStep 3: Application at the receiving institution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have accepted your allocated spot, the Outgoing Mobility Office will contact you by email in due time to inform you about the application process in accordance with your study semester abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you obtained a spot for the<strong> winter semester,<\/strong> you will receive the necessary instructions <strong>between April and June.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you obtained a spot for the<strong> summer semester,<\/strong> you will receive the necessary instructions <strong>between the end of August and November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterwards, your host university will send you an email with further information concerning your application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are responsible for submitting your complete application to the receiving institution within the respective deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Do not start your application before receiving the email from the Outgoing Mobility Office or the complete instructions from your host university!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the host institution\u2019s application procedure, you will receive a letter or email of acceptance once their application process is finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Careful: You might have to apply for housing abroad at the same time. We remind you that you are responsible for organizing accommodation for your mobility semester.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"py-0 wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"step-4-learning-agreement-online-learning-agreement-la-ola\"\n    >\nStep 4: Learning agreement\/Online Learning Agreement (LA\/OLA)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a compulsory document for the University of Luxembourg necessary for the validation of your mobility semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to fill it out with courses you will follow abroad (for a minimum of 30 ECTS). For the document to be valid, it must be signed by you, by your programme director (via the mobility contact person within your faculty) and by your host institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please carry out this step once you have received instructions from your host university. Depending on your host institution\u2019s application procedure, you will need to complete it during or after the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all our partners are using the same document, some are still using a PDF document called Learning agreement (LA) and some are using a digital document called Online Learning Agreement (OLA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So, first thing to do:<\/strong> Verify with your host institution if they use the OLA (Online Learning Agreement) or still a PDF\/Word Document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"1-if-your-host-institution-requires-a-pdf-word-document\"\n    >\n1. If your host institution requires a PDF\/Word document<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It is possible to modify it in the month following your arrival at the receiving institution, using the second page of the Learning agreement. Modifications must be approved by the receiving institution, as well as your programme director (via the mobility contact person within your faculty). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read instructions for the modification of the learning agreement in Step 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"2-if-your-host-institution-requires-an-online-learning-agreement-ola\"\n    >\n2. you do not need to make any request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will find all the eligibility conditions and criteria in the two documents below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-custom-buttons btn-list\"><li class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-custom-button\"    aria-disabled=\"false\"\n    >\n    <a\n        role=\"link\"\n        aria-disabled=\"false\"\n                    href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/mobility\/outgoing-student-mobility\/scholarships\/erasmus-grant\/\"\n                target=\"_blank\"\n        class=\"btn btn--primary\"\n            >Erasmus+ funding for 2025-26<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"step7\"\n    >\nStep 7: Re-enrollment at the University of Luxembourg &amp; Mobility contract<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Last but not least\u2026. before your departure you will need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Enroll at the University of Luxembourg as Outgoing student \u2013 \u201cinternational exchanges\u201d, and at your receiving institution as Incoming student, but as an Erasmus+ student, you will pay your enrolment fees at the University of Luxembourg only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"icon--primary icon--primary-2 icon--lg wp-block-unilux-blocks-icon-picker\">\n    <svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" class=\"icon icon-outline icon--warning \"><use xlink:href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/themes\/unilux-theme\/assets\/images\/icons\/icons-outline.svg#icon--warning\"><\/use><\/svg><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note: German universities often require a &#8220;<em>Semesterbeitrag<\/em>&#8221; (administrative fees, semester ticket, etc.) which can be quite high. You cannot be exempt from these fees. Check with the receiving university.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Sign your mobility contract with the University of Luxembourg. This document will contain all information concerning your mobility semester and is indispensable to the validation of your mobility semester. You will have to upload your signed mobility contact via the mobility portal. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2024\/10\/FAQ-Erasmus-FR_DE_-EN_24-25.pdf\">Find more information on the mobility contract.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"py-0 wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"useful-information\"\n    >\nUseful information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"accomodation\"\n    >\n<strong>Accomodation<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>For reasons of equal treatment, the Outgoing Mobility Office cannot implicate itself in accommodation research. You will therefore be in charge of finding an accommodation for your mobility semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most receiving institutions have rooms for exchange students. We recommended to apply early, because the number is limited, and attribution is not automatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, consult the website of your receiving institution. You may also want to look into apartment-sharing (be prudent of housing scams!) or contact the ESN (European Student Network) association represented at your host university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"health-and-safety\"\n    >\n<strong>Health and safety<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you have sufficient health insurance during your stay abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Luxembourg has signed a contract with International SOS (ISOS), a medical &amp; security services company. Their global services include medical and security risk planning, in-country expertise and emergency response for travelers. ISOS provides 24\/7 assistance to all students going abroad on their mobility (does not apply for leisure trips!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These services are free of charge. Please note, however, that ISOS is NOT an insurance company and you should ensure that you are covered by health\/travel insurance for the duration of your stay before going abroad, depending on your specific needs and the requirements of the destination (which vary from country to country).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will find more detailed information in the documents enclosed. We strongly advise you to download the application before you travel abroad. You will find the steps to follow in the document International SOS Step-by-Step Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"id-documents-passport-visa\"\n    >\n<strong>ID documents\/Passport\/Visa:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>According to your destination, verify well if you have the necessary documents to travel and stay abroad for your mobility period.
