These will be part of a new Young International Academics programme, starting in 2024 with a total budget of four million euros. The Young International Academics postdoctoral programme will recruit and support top emerging international talents and their audacious interdisciplinary postdoctoral projects up to three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be selected in this programme open to all disciplines, candidates will have to bridge at least two distinct fields in bold, original, and high impact research. Applicants will be selected by an independent scientific council in two waves and will be invited to submit their breakthrough ideas in November 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrary to regular postdoctoral programmes, Young International Academics researchers will be mentored by two supervisors, out of a pool of more than 350 potential supervisors and co-supervisors of all faculties and interdisciplinary centres of the University. They will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities and infrastructure, specialised &#8220;\u00e0 la carte&#8221; trainings, and important conferences and events. The goal of this very selective programme is to leverage the University\u2019s unique multicultural and interdisciplinary environment to attract and retain top talent in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Horizon Europe\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu\/actions\/cofund\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions COFUND\" rel=\"noopener\">Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions <\/a>(MSCA), the European Commission funds research and innovation projects to boost top researchers\u2019 careers through mobility and innovative doctoral and postdoctoral training. The MSCA help build Europe\u2019s capacity for research and innovation by investing in the long-term careers of excellent researchers. The calls are highly competitive.
