The winner of the first ever Aureus Prize is Juunoo, a Belgian startup aiming to disrupt the construction industry and office spaces in the Greater Region with their proprietary interior walls technology. Their circular business model enables the combination of reusable panels into modular walls that can be dismantled and set up again without dirt, dust, and waste. The winner will now join startups of the University of Luxembourg Incubator\u2019s Accelerator\u00a0for their USA investor roadshow planned for May 2022.<\/p>

The Aureus Prize is funded by the Aureus Foundation in partnership with the University of Luxembourg Incubator<\/a>, Orea Capital<\/a>,\u00a0Pulse Foundation<\/a>\u00a0and Vlerick Business School<\/a>. The prize was announced by Luxembourg\u2019s multipreneur Mr Norbert Becker at an award ceremony hosted at the residence of the Ambassador of Belgium, Mr Thomas Lambert.<\/p>

The University of Luxembourg Incubator also hosted a startup delegation from Belgium\u2019s Vlerick Business School and Pulse Foundation. Four startups – DGenious<\/a>, Juunoo<\/a>, Stampix<\/a> and Qviro<\/a> – were finalists for the Aureus Prize. Startups of the University of Luxembourg Incubator \u2013 EduGamiTec<\/a>, Food4All<\/a>, HoneyVerse<\/a>, Magrid<\/a>, and NIUM<\/a> – then presented their projects to the investors and guests from the Belgian delegation.<\/p>

The rector of the University of Luxembourg, Prof St\u00e9phane Pallage, highlighted the importance of the business ties between Luxembourg and Belgium. He welcomed \u201cthe dreamers to the Incubator of the University\u201d and highlighted that \u201cthe entrepreneurs are the key and future of our economy and society.\u201d<\/p>

The winner of the Aureus Prize and CEO of Juunoo, Chris Van de Voorde stated: \u201cI’m very proud that Juunoo was selected as the winner. This will allow us to scale faster in Luxembourg and the USA. It was a great experience, where I’ve met some very inspiring people. I like the result driven mentality, because it is only by doing that we will create impact.\u201d<\/p>

The President of the Board of Aureus Ars & Scientia, Mr Olivier Van Regemortel, was thrilled to see this partnership with the University of Luxembourg Incubator move forward: \u201cThe Aureus prize is a fantastic reward for young entrepreneurs to develop further their company internationally. With Aureus, we pursue a direct and long-term impact for startups in Luxembourg and Europe.\u201d<\/p>
