Promotions are limited to a maximum of 25% of all new positions created since January 2017. 37 candidates were assessed both on their own merit and relative to other candidates in the pool of applicants, by\u00a0internal and external committees.\u00a0Assessment\u00a0areas include research and scholarship, teaching with a\u00a0commitment to academic and pedagogical excellence, knowledge and technology transfer,\u00a0administration and\u00a0management.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cI am proud of the high quality of applications received,\u201d states Prof. St\u00e9phane Pallage, rector of the University of Luxembourg. \u201cThe individuals promoted demonstrate excellence and a deep commitment across several areas. They are prominent researchers and also exemplary teachers, study directors, leaders, speakers and academic ambassadors.
