{"id":7720,"date":"2019-12-20T07:27:35","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T07:27:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/website.prod.unilu.spikeseed.cloud\/en\/news\/nuol-and-uni-lu-share-experiences-in-legal-research\/"},"modified":"2019-12-20T07:27:35","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T07:27:35","slug":"nuol-and-uni-lu-share-experiences-in-legal-research","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/news\/nuol-and-uni-lu-share-experiences-in-legal-research\/","title":{"rendered":"NUOL and Uni.lu share experiences in legal research"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\"><p>Twelve candidates from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the National University of Laos (NUOL) attended a new type of research seminar from 22-24 of October, 2019, with the first \u201cLaw Summer School\u201d dedicated to legal research in Vang Vieng district, Vientiane province.<\/p><p>Under the framework of the Inter-University Cooperation Project between Luxembourg and Laos, a delegation from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance from the University of Luxembourg was welcome by Laos by NUOL\u2019s Faculty of Law and Political Science from October 21-25, 2019.<\/p><p>The University of Luxembourg and Faculty of Political Science (FLP) organised the seminar with the Vice-Dean of the FLP, Associate Professor Bounthieng Phommachanh and University of Luxembourg Professor Stefan Braum chairing the event.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/07\/screenshot_2019_12_20_at_08_27_09.png\"\n                srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/07\/screenshot_2019_12_20_at_08_27_09-300x145.png 300w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/07\/screenshot_2019_12_20_at_08_27_09-768x372.png 768w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/07\/screenshot_2019_12_20_at_08_27_09.png 942w\"\n                style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 21\/9; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure><p><\/p><p>Participants publicly presented their research projects in English and were given feedback and guidance by a panel from the University of Luxembourg including Pr. Stefan Braum, Dr. Perrine Simon (Liaison Officer), Dr. Relja Radovic and Ms. Nicole Citeroni and Ms. Loren Jolly. The selected topics were all very important for Laos PDR, relating to environment and foreign investments, legal aid, access to justice as well as family and labour law. Candidates engaged in active discussion with their peers for the first time.
