The competitive promotion policy was developed in close collaboration with the deans of faculties, directors of Interdisciplinary Centres, Human Resources department and in consultation with the staff delegation.<\/p><p>It was approved by the Board of Governors at its 5 April 2019 meeting. The policy builds on the rules laid out in the law of 27 June 2018 on the organisation of the University of Luxembourg and defines the detailed procedure and evaluation criteria for promotion to the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate \u00a0Professor and Full Professor at the University.<\/p><p>The University intends to launch the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0edition of the new process in <strong>spring 2019<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Potential applicants are invited to consult the new policy and guidelines for the application procedure in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwen.uni.lu\/universite\/presentation\/competitive_promotion\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">dedicated web area<\/a>.<\/p><p>Information sessions will be held on the following dates:<\/p><ul class=\"ulux-list\"><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Thursday, 25 April 2019, 12pm-1:30pm, Campus Belval, MSA, room 4.530<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Monday, 29 April 2019, 3pm-4:30pm, Campus Belval, MSA, room 4.510<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Monday, 6 May 2019, 3pm-4:30pm, Campus Kirchberg, room 4.530<\/li><\/ul><p>Further questions may be addressed via\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:competitive.promotion@uni.lu\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">competitive.promotion@uni.lu<\/a><\/p><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The rector is happy to announce the launch of a new policy for career advancement among the professorial ranks.
