Professor Jens Kreisel<\/a>, Rector of the University, has entrusted Professor Andr\u00e9 Pr\u00fcm<\/a> with the role of Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. This appointment, which will take effect on 1 June 2026, follows the resignation of Professor Katalin Ligeti from her position as Dean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A distinguished full professor of financial and business law, Professor Pr\u00fcm previously served as Dean of the Faculty from 2005 to 2012. He will help enable stability and continuity within the Faculty, facilitating its smooth operation. Additionally, he will prepare the electoral process for appointing a new dean in autumn 2026, ensuring the process is collegial and constructive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This transitional phase will enable the Faculty to approach this period with confidence and serenity, fostering a dynamic renewal of its governance, and preparing for the next stages of its development in the best interests of both the Faculty and the University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The continuity of teaching and research activities is thus fully assured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
