Held in the charming courtyard of Sazio in Luxembourg’s Grund district, the evening brought together graduates from all 22 years of the University’s existence, providing an opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the vibrant alumni community. The impressive turnout was a testament to the strength and spirit of our alumni and their commitment to the University of Luxembourg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat was also exciting for me was seeing that being part of the alumni community has become a destination in itself, says Andy Adams, Alumni Relations Specialist. \u201cMost of the attendees were from Luxembourg and the Greater region, but some came from much further away, including Germany, Egypt and Ghana. These alumni thought it worthwhile to arrange trips back to Luxembourg to attend the event.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year saw the debut of an afterparty open to non-alumni friends, where DJ Jim Kent kept the energy high. Amidst the welcoming atmosphere, laughter echoed through the courtyard as new connections were forged and old friendships rekindled, proving once again that the University of Luxembourg’s alumni community remains as robust as ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the event was an impromptu performance by Mara Van Dyck, a recent Uni.lu alumna and moreover candidate for the Eurovision Luxembourg Song Contest. She gave the crowd extra summer vibes with a rousing rendition of “Son of a Preacher Man”.  Encouraged by the crowd, Andy Adams performed the traditional Luxembourgish song ‘K\u00e4ttche, K\u00e4ttche’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe summer party was so much fun! Amazing venue, great people, and the addition of the photobooth was fantastic!\u201d shared alumna Lina Nafie, who had flown in from Egypt to attend the event. \u201cIt was super well-organised, and I’m really happy I came all the way just for it. It was a great opportunity to catch up with people. I ran into people I didn’t think I’d see, and highly recommend these kinds of alumni events to anyone hoping to stay in touch with their peers.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
