On Wednesday 22 January, a group of 14 people from the <\/em>Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History<\/a> <\/em>(C\u00b2DH), among them professors, PhD candidates and researchers, visited the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (MUDAM) in Luxembourg City. The focus of their visit was the digital art exhibition “Radical Software – Women, Art & Computing 1960\u20131991”<\/a>. The C\u00b2DH group was welcomed by Maria Eleni Nikoloudia, part of the  Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg<\/strong><\/a> (ED-UNILU) team and independent cultural mediator. Participants received a one-hour guided tour of the digital art exhibition, with commentary on selected pieces from the more than 100 works on display. Information on the history of computing and the role of women in it were also provided, as the exhibition featured only digital art pieces by female artists. The C\u00b2DH group thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the insights into the pioneering work of women artists using digital technologies in art-making from the 1960’s to the 1990’s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
