From 6 to 10 May 2024, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>(BUES) organized its \u201c2024 International Week\u201d \u2013 including a wide range of scientific, pedagogical and public events focused on the past, present and future of Europe at a time of crisis and transformation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

E<\/strong>urope Direct at the University of Luxembourg<\/strong><\/a> (ED-UNILU) had the pleasure of participating in these activities by organizing and inaugurating on 9 May 2024, in cooperation with the European Documentation Centre at the BUES<\/strong><\/a>, the documentary exhibition titled \u201cShaping Europe: the Story of European Parliament elections\u201d<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>realized by the <\/strong>Archives Unit of the European Parliament<\/strong><\/a>. At the same occasion, was disseminated in several linguistic versions the publication  \u201cEurope goes to the polls: 45 years of European Elections\u201d, <\/strong>also made available of us by the <\/strong>Archives Unit of the European Parliament<\/strong><\/a>, which traces the history of European democracy through a wide range of (multimedia) archival sources from all EU Member States.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition – which was inaugurated in the framework of a \u201cYoung Citizen\u2019s Dialogue\u201d<\/strong> that the students from the BUES had with the Mrs Adina Valean, European Commissioner<\/strong><\/a> (2019-2024) \u2013 has remained open to the public until July 1st<\/sup> 2024.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her capacity of Research Scientist at the University of Luxembourg, Dr Elena Danescu<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>who is also Coordinator of ED-UNILU,  participated at several research and doctoral seminars, organized by the BUES and its interdisciplinary research clusters during the \u201c2024 International Week\u201d.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
